Direct Investments

Patient growth capital for established, founder-led businesses in the physical economy.

VeraDaniel & Company makes minority growth investments in established, privately held businesses that build, install, maintain, and manufacture. We focus on companies whose end markets are durable, whose operations can be strengthened through technology and process, and whose owners want a long-term partner rather than a change of control.

We invest alongside a select group of family offices and qualified private investors on a transaction-by-transaction basis.

What We Look For

Established and profitable

Operating history and EBITDA of approximately $1 million or more, with visible contracted backlog or recurring revenue.

Physical-economy end markets

Specialty trade contractors, field services, infrastructure, fabrication, machining, and light industrial manufacturing.

Leadership depth

A committed owner-operator supported by an experienced executive team.

Diversified demand

No single customer or funding source dominating revenue.

Capital for growth

Proceeds used to expand capacity, enter new markets, or strengthen the business, not to fund ownership liquidity.

How We Partner

01

Minority positions

Owners retain control of their business. We take board representation and customary governance and information rights.

02

Staged commitments

Typical investments of $3 to $6 million, deployed over time against agreed operating milestones.

03

Flexible structures

Preferred equity and other structures designed around the company's cash flows and growth plan.

04

Operating support

Hands-on help with financial reporting, back-office systems, software standardization, and readiness for audits, financing, and larger contracts.

Our Process

01

Introduction

An initial conversation with ownership to understand the business and its goals.

02

Evaluation

Review of financial statements, contracts, and operations.

03

Indicative terms

A non-binding letter of intent outlining structure and governance.

04

Diligence

Financial, legal, and operational diligence with independent advisors.

05

Partnership

Closing, followed by a jointly agreed value-creation plan.

What We Do Not Pursue

Pre-revenue companies, businesses dependent on a single customer, and control buyouts.

Separation of Practices

Direct Investments operates separately from our foundation advisory practice. Read our conflicts policy
